After the water, we watched part of Return of the Titans and then we headed to Richies for a feast....

5SFN went into new teams this week and had to learn more about each other as they figured out new team names.
Below are the five educational videos 5SFN made (wrote, directed, filmed, produced and edited) about their type of animal: Fish, Birds, Mammals, Insects and Reptiles.
On Friday, 3/23/12, we walked over to the New England Institute and had an amazing experience hearing and making wax recordings and then making some recordings in a modern sound studio.

C.C.C. Day inspired our first 5SFN's Got Talent
Below are some recent pictures that were taken the day before winter break on our C.C.C. (Cozy, Completions and Choice) Day. The day was filled with water color painting, games, and the class decided to try out a 5SFN's Got Talent. We had solos and duets with a saxophone, flute, clarinet, cello, and violin, and we had jokes, riddles, and some serious ballet by our host.
Below the CCC pictures are some photos of our class in the midst of measuring their winter solstice shadows. The average 5th graders shadow was just under 12 feet. Interesting... We will try again during the spring equinox.
